Items Missing From Your List?

Take a breath — your items are almost certainly still there. The item list remembers the last filter you set and keeps it on the next time you open it, so a filter left switched on can quietly hide part of your list.

Fix: Turn Off the Active/Inactive Filter

The most common culprit is the active/inactive filter set to show only active items. If you've ever marked items as inactive, they'll be hidden until you switch this back.

  1. Open the Items list from the side menu.

  2. Tap the Filter icon in the top bar, then tap By active/inactive.

Item list with the Filter menu open showing the By active/inactive option

  3. Choose "Active and Inactive items" to show everything again.

Your full list reappears, and this setting sticks for next time.

Also Check

If items are still missing, one of these is usually on:

  • A search term — If there's text in the Search box at the top, the list only shows matches. Clear the box (or tap the X) to see all items.
  • A category filter — If you tapped Filter › By category earlier, only that one category shows. Open Filter › By category again and pick your category to confirm, or leave the list and re-open it from the side menu to start fresh.

Still Missing After Clearing Filters?

If items are genuinely gone — not just hidden — they may have been deleted. Restore them from your most recent backup: see How to Restore a Backup.

Good to Know

  • The active/inactive choice is saved per device — set it once and it stays until you change it.
  • Marking an item inactive doesn't delete it. It stays in your data and on past transactions; it's just hidden from the everyday list.
  • Search filters only the list you're looking at — it never removes or changes any item.
